Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin issues challenge to Bob Stoops, Oklahoma
By Jack Crosby
Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops recently created some controversy once again with some remarks that he made in regards to his former conference foe, the Texas A&M Aggies. Long story short, Stoops called out the notion that the Aggies play a not-so-strong schedule, now that they’re in the SEC.

You didn’t expect the also outspoken Kevin Sumlin to just sit back and take that, did you?
No, of course he wouldn’t. In response to Stoops’ comments about the scheduling, Sumlin basically issued a challenge to Stoops and the Sooners, telling them that they can play anytime they want. He’s up for it.
The thing about Stoops’ comments is that, to some degree, he’s right. At least in comparison, the Sooners have played a tougher out-of-conference schedule than the Aggies. And as we all know, especially after that big win over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, anytime that Stoops has the opportunity to throw some shade the SEC’s way, he’s going to take it.
Now the question is whether or not Stoops and Oklahoma will see if they can hammer out a deal to settle this on the field at some point, rather than over the microphones.
