Buffalo Bills ownership bidding eclipses $1 billion
By Josh Sanchez
It looks like we are headed towards a record sale for a NFL franchise. With the initial Buffalo Bills ownership bidding deadline in the books, we have an early idea of some of the potential buyers and there is at least one man willing to throw down more than $1 billion to own the team.

According to Josh Kosman and Lois Weiss of the New York Post, Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula’s initial bid eclipsed $1 billion which means that the sale is almost certainly going to exceed the $1.1 billion that Stephen Ross paid for the Miami Dolphins.
Of course, Pegula will need to beat out Donald Trump and a Toronto-based group led by Jon Bon Jovi.
Things are going to get interesting.
With the steep bid from Pegula right out of the gate, the Buffalo Bills fan base has to feel good about the possibility of the team remaining in Buffalo.
Whether or not Pegula will ultimately win the bidding and become the new owner of the team remains to be seen, but he is off to a promising start and is showing that he’s dedicated to keeping the team put.
