Thursday was a big day for the Florida State Seminoles, landing two top-rated prospects in a matter of an hour. However, things got off to a wild start for FSU on the day, thanks to 4-star dual-threat quarterback/athlete Kai Locksley committing just an hour before a decision was to be made by fellow 4-star quarterback Deondre Francois.

Florida State has room in its 2015 class for two quarterbacks, but two of the best pro-style and dual-threat options in one class is a rarity—even for top ranked teams like Florida State.

What remains to be seen is how exactly Florida State plans to use Locksley in the future. One telling sign could be the fact that fellow 4-star QB Francois just announced for Florida State as well.

If Locksley doesn’t stick at quarterback at the collegiate level he could wind up as a great prospect at wide receiver. Having a 6’3″, 188-pound frame is ideal size for the position and it could be a matter of when, not if Locksley moves out wide.

Locksley, out of Gilman High School in Baltimore, Md. is the No. 19-ranked athlete in the 2015 class per the 247Sports composite rankings and the No. 4-ranked player in Maryland. He was also the No. 235-ranked player in the 247Sports composite ranking and No. 127-ranked player in the Top247 rankings.

Florida State is now the No. 11-ranked class in the 2015 team rankings and the No. 3-rated ACC class to date.
