The Golden State Warriors know that to compete in the tough Western Conference, they can never sit idle on their hands. From their unexpected signing of Andre Iguodala to the firing of Marc Jackson, the Warriors almost always seem to be in the process of some move.

More from Golden State Warriors

Such hasn’t stopped this offseason as there have been constant rumors hinting that the Warriors were in heavy talks to trade for disgruntled All-Star power forward Kevin Love. In such a scenario, Klay Thompson would be headed to the Minnesota Timberwolves but the Golden State Warriors have been reluctant to make such a move.

Given that, Stephen Curry says he expects the Warriors to open up their season with their current cast of characters and does not expect any major moves.

“Those talks probably will still be going on while we’re playing here and even while we’re overseas before training camp,” Curry said. “But at this point, I expect the same team to be back. We were a great team last year. We took the Clippers to a Game 7 on the road in the last two minutes and weren’t 100 percent, so hopefully we can be healthy and be a better team next year.”

While Kevin Love may not find his way to the Bay Area, we’ve already seen that the Golden State Warriors are not hesitant to make a franchise altering trade so I’m not sure I’d be completely confident in saying a big move won’t take place before the start of the season.
