Los Angeles does not have an NFL franchise but the City of Angels could be the home to the 2015 NFL Draft.

According to NFL Media Analyst Gil Brandt, Los Angeles is the front-runner to host the 2015 NFL Draft as the draft moves out of Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Chicago is the other option to host the three-day event that could expand to a four-day event if NFL commissioner Roger Goodell gets his wish to spread out the marquee event of the NFL offseason, or should I say non-playing season, because the NFL is a 52-week sport in today’s non-stop news world.

ESPN Insider Adam Schefter followed up Brandt’s tweet and said to take it to the bank, suggesting Brandt will be correct when the NFL announces their definitive plans for next year’s draft.

Los Angeles should be a fine host for the NFL Draft and roll out the red carpet treatment for the draft hopefuls with a Hollywood-like feel surrounding the event, and it will be a nice alternative to the sights and ambiance of the drafts in New York.

Hopefully Chicago will get an opportunity to host the draft, perhaps as early as 2016 as the league could rotate sites of the draft as they do for the Super Bowl and have cities put in bids to host the event.
