Windows Phone users can now download Foursquare’s new check-in app Swarm directly to their device.

The company released the Windows Phone version of the new app on Wednesday after it has been out for iOS and Android for the past couple of months.
Swarm is the standalone app that allows users to check-in at various locations. The feature used to be a part of the official Foursquare app, but the company decided to move the original app in a new direction, which lead to the launch of Swarm.
The new app combines check-ins with location sharing to make it easier than ever for users to find friends.
Windows Phone users can still use the Foursquare app for check-ins if they so choose because of the app not being updated yet to remove the function. When that happens, users will be forced to go to Swarm for all of their check-in needs.
The release date for the updated Foursquare app on Windows Phone has yet to be announced by the company, though it’s expected to launch at some point this year.
