Bills’ Doug Marrone says fights hurt the game’s integrity
By Mike Dyce
Things got a little heated during the Buffalo Bills practice and a fight broke out. Fights aren’t necessarily uncommon in training camps, but head coach Doug Marrone isn’t a fan of them.

“It’s not part of the game,” Marrone told reporters after practice, via the Buffalo News. “Therefore, I don’t want to speak about it. It hurts the integrity of our game the more we talk about it. That’s how I feel about fighting.”
And it is hard to argue with Marrone on this one. Bills center Eric Wood ahd his helmet ripped off and was punched in the face, then came after undrafted rookie defensive end Bryan Johnson yelling “I’ll f—— kill you!”
That seems to go beyond the normal training camp fight, but the Bills players are downplaying it.
“Twenty-one days in pads and counting!” Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes said. “I love it! That’s what happens, baby!”
Hughes wasn’t the only one, player after player downplayed it afterwards.
