As they currently stand, the Cleveland Cavaliers are among the elite in the NBA and many would argue that they’re the favorite to win the NBA title.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Of course, championships aren’t won on paper and the Cleveland Cavaliers could possibly struggle out of the gate given the influx of new additions. That said, with LeBron James, Kyrie Iving and Kevin Love all on the roster the Cavs are going to be difficult to beat.

To make matters worse for the rest of the NBA, Ohio.com believes that the Cavaliers front office has plenty of available assets to help the franchise add more talent down the road which could help the organization morph into a dynasty.

"Before proceeding, it’s important to shed the Cleveland mindset of always looking toward next year and the future. The Cavaliers have the talent to win an NBA title right now, but they’ve also positioned themselves to continue adding key pieces in the coming years to keep the engine purring."

While both Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett are gone, the Cavs still do have a couple young players that could either grow into their skills or possibly shipped out via trade. More than that, some of their contractual situations are very favorable in a trade scenario, much like Brendan Haywood’s $10.5 million dollar nonguaranteed contract.

Needless to say, not only are the Cleveland Cavaliers well positioned for the upcoming NBA season, they’re very well positioned for the long term.

It’s a good time to be a basketball fan in Ohio.
