The San Fransisco Giants completed a three-game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers with a 15-5 win on Sunday. The Brewers went into the game with a one game lead on the Cardinals in the NL Central and now are tied.

More from Milwaukee Brewers

Pablo Sandoval hit a two-run homer among his three RBIs and finished a double shy of the cycle and helped the Giants jump all over the Brewers to advance to a season high, sixth straight win.

Madison Bumgarner pitched well with seven strikeouts in six innings to win his third straight start. The 25-year-old finished the month of August strong at 4-1 with a 1.57 ERA.

Hunter Pence extended his NL-leading hitting streak to 13 games with a third-inning RBI double, the first of his four hits. He doubled again in the fifth and added a seventh-inning triple.

The Brewers lost their fifth straight road game. This is the first time since July 20 that they don’t have sole possession of the NL Central lead.

Kyle Lohse allowed seven runs and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings for his fourth defeat in five decisions.

San Francisco’s starting pitchers combined for a 1.07 ERA with 57 strikeouts and seven walks on the 6-1 home stand.

Tim Lincecum debuted as a relief pitcher for the first time since he was pulled from the starting rotation Monday. Lincecum pitched the eighth and ninth inning and gave up three runs including a home run.

San Fransisco will start a three game series on the road against Colorado on Monday. The Giants trail the Dodgers in the NL West by just 2.5 games and lead the NL wild card race.
