That’s unlikely to be point-forward Joe Ingles, though that hasn’t stopped a handful of NBA teams from having interest in the 6’8 talent.
Now 26-years-old, Ingles has produced fine numbers for the Australian national team, this after being a solid contributor to Maccabi Tel Aviv. The impressive play has intrigued those we’ve watched him and the Philadelphia 76ers are said to have interest in bringing the forward aboard.
Of course, they aren’t the only team said to be eying Joe Ingles as the Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks have also been reported to previously have interest. The Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers were also said to be intrigued with Ingles, though that was back in March and it’s unknown if Ingles remains a target.
The forward was offered a two-year contract by the Memphis Grizzlies last year, though declined the offer and is reportedly now ready to join the ranks of the NBA.
After going undrafted in 2009, Joe Ingles is free to sign with any team and considering he’s a big man who can shoot from the outside, it’s understandable as to why so many have interest. Few have enough money to sign him outright (the Philadelphia 76ers do), so some roster moves will need to be made if Ingles is to sign outside of Philadelphia.
