While Reggie Jackson is currently enjoying his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, it’s no secret that the guard/forward wants to become a starting player in the NBA.

More from Dallas Mavericks

In addition to increasing his minutes, Reggie Jackson also wants to get paid and given the Oklahoma City Thunder have more pressing needs (say like keeping Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant in town) it’s very possible the restricted free agent to be could be playing his final season with the OKC Thunder.

If such proves to be true, who is expected to show interest in the young combo player? Well, according to NewsOK.com the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks all have a pressing need and will have available cap space to make a move.

"Only four teams currently have a clear need, as well as the necessary salary cap space, to make a run at Jackson next summer should he become a restricted free agent. Those teams are Dallas, Miami, New York and the Los Angeles Lakers."

For what it’s worth, Reggie Jackson has stated that he’d like to remain with the Oklahoma City Thunder moving forward though it remains to be seen if that’s a possibility given his desires.

Such a decision will likely rest with the Thunder however as they have the right to match any offer Reggie Jackson would receive in free agency given his restricted status. Some believe Dallas and Los Angeles may attempt to drive up the asking price of Jackson in effort to have him leave a conference rival.
