Jim Harbaugh failed to name a starter for Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and that’s something that will likely be a theme the entire season.
According to ESPN, the Ravens aren’t going to be naming or settling on one single starting running back this year but rather they’re going to be running with a rotation of backs.
"Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh declined to name a starting running back after the team released Ray Rice on Monday.Since no one in the backfield is an established starter, Harbaugh will likely go with the hot hand each game. The approach is probably a running-back-by-committee, so Harbaugh would be right in naming everyone a starter."
the Ray Rice situation isn’t the only factor in this decision to not name a starter, as the Ravens have a committee of backs with no true stand out at the moment.
