Josh Gordon will reportedly be suspended for nine more games this season, which is actually good news when you consider that his original punishment for multiple drug-related offenses was going to be the entire season.

More from Cleveland Browns

Even with the reduced punishment, Gordon will still play only six games in 2014. Is that enough for him to make the Pro Bowl?

Don’t even ask Josh Gordon that question.

It’s good to set the bar high for yourself, but I’m thinking Gordon may be biting off more than he can chew with this making the Pro Bowl in six games thing.

I know he put up historic numbers in 2013 despite playing in only 14 games, but for him to make the Pro Bowl in six? What would that require? Around 200 yards per game and about 2 touchdowns per game?

I realize Gordon is a freak but that may be asking a lot. Also, Kyle Shanahan may think that throwing the ball only to Gordon will somewhat limit the effectiveness of his offense.

Of course, by the time we get down to the last six games, the Browns will likely be out of the race anyway and may think they have nothing left to lose. So why not just chuck it to Gordon 20 times every game and see if they can get him in the Pro Bowl?

You have to wonder who the Browns quarterback will even be by then. Brian Hoyer? Johnny Manziel? Josh Freeman?

Kelly Holcomb?
