The Texas A&M Aggies pulled off quite the coup when they landed 5-Star wide receiver Speedy Noil in their 2015 recruiting class.

More from College Football

Noil was regarded as a 5-Star prospect out of Edna Karr High School in New Orleans, Louisiana and spurned the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers and hometown LSU Tigers to sign with the Aggies, showing their power on the recruiting trail.

Noil has already made quite the impact, catching 12 passes for 197 yards with a touchdown in the Aggies’ first three games. Noil, however, suffered a knee injury against the Rice Owls Saturday.

Noil will be out when the Aggies take on the SMU Mustangs on Saturday and could miss up to five weeks.

"Texas A&M will be without five-star freshman receiver Speedy Noil for at least one game, and reportedly for as many as four weeks beyond that.Citing sources, 247Sports affiliate GigEm247 reported Monday that Noil sustained a left knee injury in last Saturday’s win over Rice “that will cause him to miss approximately three to five weeks.”In his Tuesday press conference, Kevin Sumlin confirmed to reporters that Noil will miss the No. 6 Aggies’ game Saturday at SMU with what he termed a leg injury, saying Noil would be further evaluated in the following days."

The Aggies obviously can by the Mustangs without Noil but they will begin SEC play when they host the Arkansas Razorbacks on September 27. They then face quite the gauntlet, taking on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, the 10th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels and third-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in the following three weeks.
