Kirk Cousins still believes that the Redskins are ‘Robert’s team’
Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has been more than impressive every time he has been given a chance to lead the team. Whether it was last year as Robert Griffin III sat out for precautionary reasons, or this season after Griffin was injured in Week 2, Cousins has played the position extremely well.

Cousins has thrown for 677 yards, 5 touchdowns, and one interception in his two games thus far this season, which has many people questioning whether or not Griffin will be given the starting role back over Cousins once he is fully healthy.
Although pundits and analysts believe Cousins may be more suited for the job than Griffin, Cousins himself refuses to say the Redskins are his team.
While Griffin does not necessarily have a time frame to return, his ankle injury is certainly going to take a hefty amount of time, which could potentially mean he is rusty when he returns.
If Griffin makes a push to return past Week 10, and the Redskins are in the thick of the playoff race with Cousins continuing to put up impressive numbers, it will be very hard for the team to pull Cousins in favor of Griffin, even if Cousins is ready to do so.
Regardless, at this point it is painfully evident that Cousins should be a starting quarterback in the NFL full-time, and whether or not that is to happen with the Redskins remains to be seen.
