When it rains it pours and for the Oakland Raiders, it must feel like a hurricane outside.

More from Las Vegas Raiders

After getting punched in the mouth for three consecutive weeks (despite a decent showing against the New England Patriots), the Raiders received more awful news on Wednesday morning after it was revealed that both wide receiver Rod Streater and safety Tyvon Branch will need surgery.

Both suffered a similar foot injury during the Oakland Raiders loss and while they have seemingly avoided a dreaded Lisfranc injury, they’ll still be sidelined for a considerable amount of time.

"Raiders receiver Rod Streater and strong safety Tyvon Branch suffered similar injuries against the New England Patriots. Both players suffered a fractured foot. Both players will need surgery to repair it.While recovery timetables are uncertain, we can use cornerback DJ Hayden as a standard. He had surgery to repair a fractured foot this offseason, and was out nine weeks before being placed on the physically unable to perform list."

It’s a tough blow for the Oakland Raiders offense given Streater has been useful this season, though possibly even more rough for the defense considering Branch returned after missing 14 games last season with a fractured fibula.

In terms of their return, CSN Bay Area says the Oakland Raiders aren’t sure of what they’re going to do yet though hinted at least one of them could be placed on the designated to return IR. Either way, expect to be without both Streater and Branch for a while if you’re an Oakland Raiders fan.
