The Oakland Raiders flew to London a week early in order to adjust their bodies for this weekend’s game against the Miami Dolphins. The Raiders were feeling good, having found a moral victory in its loss to the New England Patriots in the form of the best defense the team has played in a long time.

But then the Raiders got throttled by the Dolphins, losing 38-14 to fall to 0-4 on the season. It marks the 10th straight loss for the Raiders dating back to last season. Dennis Allen was already on the hot seat, but his backside must be burning now.

According to ESPN.com’s Bill Williamson, now might be the perfect time to fire Allen as the Raiders fly back from London and are entering a bye week.

"Allen told reporters after Sunday’s game he is not worried about losing his job and thinks he will remain the coach. But it wouldn’t be a surprise if Oakland owner Mark Davis has other ideas. The Raiders will fly home for their bye week. With a winless team, Davis may feel compelled to make a change. He let it be known he wanted to see the Raiders be competitive this season. That has not happened."

The Dolphins, who looked like a complete disaster in back-to-back losses coming into this game, dominated the game. After going down 0-7, Miami scored 38 unanswered points.  Meanwhile, to make things worse, the Raiders lost rookie Derek Carr for several weeks due to a high ankle sprain and MCL sprain.

The Raiders are 8-28 under Allen, and he may not have much of a chance to make that worse. It’s a long flight home from London, and that gives owner Mark Davis a lot of time to think.
