Cleveland Cavaliers’ offense to be free-flowing around LeBron James
By Bryan Rose
Even during LeBron James’ first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA superstar didn’t play in what you would call a ‘free-flowing’ offense. The same held true when he signed with the Miami Heat, though now back with the Cavs it’s expected the team will have a ‘free-flowing’ offense.

Of course LeBron James has always been the focal point of his offense though despite the occasional fast break, in the past his offenses have been somewhat sluggish. No longer with David Blatt as head coach as Amico notes LeBron James hasn’t played in an offense like this since high school.
How exactly the ‘free-flowing’ offense will translate is not yet known though the freedom should allow for a a little more improv on the court and a little less structure. Normally that may not work in most offenses however with James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving expected to draw the most touches the Cleveland Cavaliers won’t only get away with it, they’ll likely make it work very well.
Blatt was one of the most successful coaches in European history and while the game is vastly different from the NBA, it’s not likely he’ll have any problems with the transition.
