It’s been just over a week since the Houston Rockets acquired Jason Terry in a trade with the Sacramento Kings but the veteran guard is already barking.

More from Houston Rockets

While Terry isn’t exactly known to be a massive trash-talker by any stretch, he’s also never been one to bite his tongue nor does he lack confidence. Combine those two personality traits and you’re likely to get yourself an over-the-top prediction, much like the one Terry gave out during the Houston Rockets media day.

With a group of reporters next to Jason Terry the former Arizona star stated that he believes the Houston Rockets have all the tools needed to win the NBA championship this season.

Of course the Houston Rockets ended up losing a lot of talent this offseason as Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin essentially were traded for nothing while Chandler Parsons signed with the rival Dallas Mavericks. Yes, the team did bring in Trevor Ariza and they still do employ Dwight Howard and James Harden, though will it be enough to get them through a very deep Western Conference? Jason Terry certainly seems to think so.

I’m just wondering when he’s going to get his new Houston Rockets NBA champion tattoo.
