It seems like there is a significant amount of downtime during NBA practices recently. We’ve already seen Miami Heat rookie Shabazz Napier knock down a half-court shot while sitting on his butt, now it’s the turn of Orlando Magic sophomore Victor Oladipo who may have done him one better.

More from NBA

Preparing for the Orlando Magic’s media day, Victor Oladipo was messing around before doing some interviews and decided to make his way towards half-court at the practice facility. Instead of facing the basket though, Victor Oladipo decided to turn around and fling the ball towards the rim.

There was no chance he made it, right? NBA player or not, that’s not something you practice and can hit on the spot.

Well apparently it is as the one-handed fling not only went through the rim, it hardly hit anything but net.

While Victor Oladipo thought he’d probably get it close to the basket, judging by his reaction the former Indiana star seemed shocked he actually made it.

Seems like Oladipo might be a good candidate to participate in the half-court shot during the Shooting Stars Challenge at All-Star Weekend. Or maybe he can only hit the shot with his back to the basket? Either way, that was impressive.
