There’s very few things that Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant can’t do on a basketball court.

More from Kevin Durant

One of those things is apparently palming a basketball. KD revealed during media day photographs that he’s unable to palm a ball, according to The Oklahoman.

"An NBA-employed photographer moved to an adjacent set and proceeded to ask Durant to put on his game face. Durant looked more like a sad puppy than a menacing pit-bull.It’s during these photo sessions that Durant revealed something surprising. He cannot palm a basketball. Almost every photographer asked Durant to pose with the ball palmed in his hand. And every time Durant quickly, almost sheepishly, conceded that he couldn’t. The photographers moved on to the next idea."

This is pretty incredible, given Durant’s height and length. One would figure that he’d have big enough hands to palm a ball, but it’s clear he doesn’t.

Still, Durant has overcome that limitation to become one of the greatest players in the NBA today. He averaged 32.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game this past season and won the league’s MVP award for the first time in his career.

The Thunder (then-Seattle Supersonics) selected Durant with the No. 2 pick of the 2007 NBA Draft.
