If you’re looking to make money from gambling on the volatile MLB playoffs, you should be aware that Vegas is favoring the Detroit Tigers in their American League Divisional Series match up, and in the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers are favored in the NLDS.

The Divisional Series in MLB is a best-of-five, which is shorter than the League Championship and World Series. Still, the Dodgers are the favorite against the NL Central champion St. Louis Cardinals in their upcoming NLDS. The Dodgers are given a 64 percent chance of winning the series, meaning you’d need to put $190 down on LA in order to win $100 back. The Cardinals, who limped into the postseason last week despite a mostly strong September, could net you $170 if you put down $100 on the birds (36 percent chance). The Cardinals might have a better offense than the Dodgers, but LA’s pitching staff is nearly unmatched in MLB.

In the American League, the Detroit Tigers, despite clinching the AL Central on the final day of the regular season, are slightly favored over  the AL East champion Baltimore Orioles, at 57 percent. Betting $140 on the Tigers would win you $100 if Detroit takes the series. Putting $100 down on the Orioles, however, would bring you back $130, and the Orioles are the home team for the series.

The Dodgers have better overall odds to win the World Series than any team other than the Los Angeles Angels, as betting $100 on either LA team could bring you back $500 if they win the Series. Betting $100 on the Tigers, Orioles and Cardinals would win you $600 (if Detroit wins), $700 (Orioles), or $800 if St. Louis is holding the World Series trophy at the end.
