That includes the Kansas City Police Department, which sent a polite request via Twitter that people refrain from committing crimes so that they could enjoy the game and celebrate a potential Royals’ victory.

Whether or not this social media effort would actually deter crime is unknown, but it undoubtedly makes the Kansas City Police Department one of the coolest in the country.

Good to know that the officers are listening, not watching, as they are still out and about to fulfill their duties to the citizens of Kansas City as required. It was exactly as they promised earlier in the day.

Everybody has postseason fever, including Kansas City’s finest.
