Boston Celtics’ veteran Gerald Wallace doesn’t want to be traded.

Now that many believe the Boston Celtics seemed destined to trade point guard Rajon Rondo at some point this season, many believe their other veterans, like forward Gerald Wallace could be next.

Gerald Wallace, however, likes being in Boston and doesn’t want to leave.

“I don’t want to go nowhere else,” said Wallace via Steve Bulpett of The Boston Herald. “I’m happy here. I’m content here with these guys.”

It doesn’t hurt that Gerald Wallace is a Red Sox fan.

“It’s fun,” he said. “It’s fun for me. I’m with a great group of guys who are eager to learn, who want to get better. For me, it’s not a bad situation at all. The guys listen. They want to improve. They want to get better as a team. For me, that’s cool. It’s kind of fun.”

Of course if a team comes calling, the Celtics will have to listen.

Gerald Wallace averaged just 5.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 24.4 minutes per game while appearing in 58 games for the Celtics last season. In his 13-year career, he’s put up 12.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
