So you have an old Volkswagen Beetle just sitting around and have nothing to do with it. Do you sell it for a few bucks, just to rid yourself of it? You could, though you could also turn it into a drivable helmet keg of your favorite NFL team.

While that may sound a bit strange, that’s exactly what one Philadelphia Eagles fan decided to.

Thanks to a bit of innovation and elbow grease, the fan turned his 1970’s inspired ride into the ultimate tailgating asset as not only did he give the VW Bug a paint job to reflect the Philadelphia Eagles, he turned the car into a helmet.

Included in the transformation was a facemask though cool as that is, it’s not even the best part. That honor goes to the built in keg which comes fully equipped on the Philadelphia Eagles inspired Volkswagen Beetle.

Thanks to the open area in the front of the car (the engine is in the back), the fan must have decided to use the area for beer storage so now he’ll always have fresh brew on tap. Of course, I’m not exactly sure just how lawful that may be or if the tricked out VW is street legal though at this point, who cares? There have been some rather impressive tailgate rides before though this one is about as cool as you can get. A car turned into a drivable football helmet with built in beer? Yes please.
