Florida Gators freshman quarterback Treon Harris had the sexual battery complaint withdrawn against him on Friday afternoon and roughly 90 minutes later had his suspension lifted as well
Treon Harris’s indefinite suspension from the University of Florida lasted less than one week after a sexual battery complaint against the Gators freshman quarterback had been dropped and now his suspension has been lifted and he can resume on-campus activities, including rejoining the football team.
Harris’ attorney Huntley Johnson said via Edgar Thompson of the Orlando Sentinel, “He is a UF student again. I couldn’t be happier. the university did the right thing.”

He will be eligible to play if head coach Will Muschamp needs him, but after missing a week of practice and meetings it would be unlikely that he sees action on Saturday, but that would be the coaches call and a formal yes or no could come later in the day.
Earlier in the week, Muschamp named Jeff Driskel as the team’s starting quarterback for their SEC crossover game against LSU after Harris relieved Driskel in last week’s game against the Tennessee Volunteers when he led the Gators to two scoring drives in the fourth quarter to overcome a 9-0 deficit and escape with a 10-9 win to improve to 3-1 on the season.
