What exactly upset Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford is unknown, though the veteran decided to have a little fun at the expense of the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.

With Portland hanging onto a seven point lead in the fourth quarter, Crawford was stuck on the sideline near the Blazers bench with the shot clock dwindling down. He could have passed out of the dangerous situation, but we’re talking Jamal Crawford who’s never met a shot he didn’t like.

So in typical Jamal Crawford fashion, the Los Angeles Clippers guard flung up a rather desperate three-point shot but that was just the beginning of the fun.

The moment after Crawford released the shot, he turned around to the Portland Trail Blazers bench (who was likely giving Crawford grief) and could be seen mouthing off to the Blazers as the ball was in flight towards the basket, gesturing that he was going to make the shot.

He turned out to be correct as the jumper hardly even tickled the twine.

Seriously, that’s some balls because the last thing you want to do is mouth off like that only to have the ball clank off the iron. You’d not only wear it all game but probably for the rest of your career.

That probably shut up the Blazers bench for the time being though they ended the night with the last laugh as they defeated Jamal Crawford and his Los Angeles Clippers by a score of 119-114.
