There were a couple of more upsets this week, but not many. Most of the higher ranked teams won, but there was some jostling because some teams just look better.

Last week’s top 25 had a lot of movement. There isn’t nearly as much this week.
So what makes my top 25 so special? Nothing really, I just put more stock into this season that season’s past.
Here is the top 25 for week 8:
1. Mississippi State: Any questions? There shouldn’t be!
2. Mississippi: Bo Wallace has been a difference maker on offense, and this defense might be the best in the country.
3. Florida State: Turned in possibly their most complete game of the season against Syracuse on Saturday.
4. Baylor: Their defense is a mess, but that offense. WOW!
5. Notre Dame: They looked awful on defense against UNC. Like historically bad.
6. Auburn: They lost to my number one, so they should be the highest ranked one loss team.
7. Alabama: They didn’t look great in Fayetteville, but Blake Sims showed he is a leader.
8. Oregon: They destroyed UCLA. DESTROYED!
9. Michigan State: They did not play well against Purdue at all. Still, I can’t really move them down.
10. Kansas State: This team is hitting their stride.
11. Georgia: Is the defense for real, or is Missouri’s offense just that bad?
12. Ohio State: They will get jumped a lot with that schedule.
13. TCU: Valiant effort in Waco, but the defense got exposed.
14. Oklahoma: Texas’s defense stymied the offense for most of the game.
15. Oklahoma State: This offense is finding it’s groove.
16. Arizona: They came oh so close to handing USC another loss.
17. Arizona State: The defense needs to hold up their end of the deal.
18. Nebraska: The OOC schedule was terrible, but their showing against Michigan State on the road puts them here.
19. East Carolina: The loss in Columbia could end up hurting them if the Cocks don’t shape up.
20. Utah: They are a sneaky team in the Pac 12 with that defensive front.
21. Stanford: They have the best two losses of any two loss team.
22. Washington: Only loss to Stanford. That has to count for something.
23. Clemson: They do have two good losses.
24. USC: The win over Arizona gets them back in.
25: Texas A&M: They have not looked good over the last three games. They are in for a rough conference season.
