On Friday night the bright lights of Levi’s Stadium played host to the Oregon Ducks and Cal Bears who squared off in an epic tilt.
The shootout was entertaining as expected with the Ducks eventually besting the Bears by a 59-41 score which saw Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota throw five touchdown passes in the process.
Impressive as that was, it may not be enough to outshine the t-shirt worn by a collection of Cal fans in attempt to troll Mariota and his Oregon Ducks.
Some of you may not remember the iconic 1984 Nintendo video game “Duck Hunt” while many others may recall spending a good portion of their youth playing the ‘shooter’.
Your goal in the game was as expected, shooting ducks that would fly out of the field with your orange and cream colored gun which Nintendo supplied.
Attempting to have some fun with the idea, a few Cal fans decided to have a ‘Duck Hunt’ t-shirt created in school colors which of course showed a character holding up two dead ducks, the same image you’d see after you completed a round in the video game.
Of course, as stated above, the potential epic troll job went down the tubes after the Cal Bears couldn’t hang on to defeat the Oregon Ducks. But that doesn’t make the shirt any less hilarious.
