About a week ago Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston, who’s been catching a significant amount of flack found a stray dog. Like a good citizen, the signal caller took the pup to a local shelter so it could be cared for.
Now after receiving the proper shots and needed medical/food, the dog rescued by the Florida State quarterback is up for adoption.
Named ‘Jaboo’ the dog is currently available for you to bring home if you’re in the Tallahassee area.
There’s no word on if Jameis Winston autographed the dog or not.
I kid, I kid. Sort of.
In all seriousness though, it was a wonderful gesture on behalf of Jemesis Winston as who knows what could have happened to the dog had the quarterback not brought him in. It’s unlikely it would have been very good and now the stray pup has a wonderful chance at finding a home. Hopefully the publicity will not only get ‘Jaboo’ adopted (which seems very likely) but also bring awareness and potential animal adopters into the shelter where they can bring other dogs and cats home as well.
‘Jaboo’ is currently available at the Tally Animal Shelter for those interested.
