Boston Marathon Winner Rita Jetpoo Fails Doping Test
By Josh Hill
Boston Marathon winner Rita Jeptoo is in hot water after results from a doping test show she tested positive drugs that may have enhanced her performance.
Doping scandals seem to plague every sport, no matter if it’s something as popular as football land baseball or more niche sports like swimming, cycling and running. Endurance athletes take their marathons seriously, and the marathons in Boston, Chicago and the major cities are no joke to those who participate.

That’s why news that Boston Marathon winner Rita Jetpoo failed a drug test in Kenya this September is so troubling.
The Associated Press confirmed the failed drug test indeed happened, which would also affect the Chicago Marathon Jetpoo won as well.
Jetpoo won the Boston Marathon this year on the anniversary of the bombings that took place last year. It was an emotional win for all involved, but it may have been a sham, as it turns out. The World Marathon Majors were set to honor Jetpoo this month but have postponed the ceremony to conduct their own drug test investigation.
"WMM has always held a stern line on drugs cheats and has been proactively supporting the sports governing bodies to ensure the integrity of the athletes competing in their races. Cheats need to understand that they are not welcome in our sport and that they will be caught."
If she is found guilty of doping, Jetpoo risks losing all of her achievements which includes back-to-back Boston Marathon victories as well as her 2013 Chicago Marathon win.
