Dallas Cowboys‘ defensive tackle Josh Brent is not eligible to return to NFL action until November 23rd, but he is allowed to be with the team in the meantime. He is travelling with them to London in week 10.

The Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars are headed to Wembley Stadium in London for a week 10 game. It is the third NFL game in London this season.

Because this is what they do, the Cowboys are carrying a couple interesting subplots with them as they make the trip overseas. The first and most obvious story is the fact that Tony Romo is making the trip, injured back and all. Not to be overlooked, however, is an interesting bit of news with a player who is currently serving a suspension.

Defensive tackle Josh Brent, still serving a suspension for 10-game suspension stemming from  an intoxication manslaughter charge in which his friend and teammate Jerry Brown Jr. was killed, will be making the trip with the Cowboys. According to the Dallas Morning News:

"Josh Brent will be heading to London with the Cowboys. The defensive tackle, who is serving a 10-game suspension, began practicing last week, and news dropped Saturday that he received a one-year contract extension through the 2015 season.“Liked the way he has worked,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. “He’s been working. He’s really been very diligent in his return and I think we’ve got a chance to get the benefit of a changed man in a lot of ways.”"

The fact that Brent has been allowed to work out with the team has to be considered a good thing as he works his way back for the Cowboys. The team probably feels it makes sense that Brent is able to make this trip, even if he will not be in action.
