Ray Rice Reinstatement Decision Two Weeks Away
By Evan Massey
The NFL’s decision on whether or not to reinstate Ray Rice is just two short weeks away.
The Baltimore Ravens came under a media storm this year with the video evidence being released that running back Ray Rice had punched his wife in the face, knocked her out, and dragged her out of an elevator. He was released from the team very quickly, but still is hoping to make an NFL comeback in the near future.

According to a report from Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, Rice’s reinstatement decision is expected to come in just two short weeks.
Rice was at one time once of the most talented up-and-coming running backs in the NFL. He was expected to become a superstar in the backfield for Baltimore, but he just never realized his full potential. This news was tough for quite a few fans to see, but the Ravens did the appropriate things be releasing him and having him focus on his life and marriage.
Throughout his 92 career NFL games, he carried the football 1,430 times for 6,180 yards and 37 touchdowns. He also caught 369 passes for 3,034 yards and six touchdowns. Those numbers show just how valuable he was for the Ravens throughout his career there, and he would be a nice pickup for quite a few different teams if the NFL does reinstate him.
That being said, there are going to be a lot of teams that steer clear of him simply because of the issues he had this past offseason. It’s hard to find a team that is willing to forgive and forget, and that will complicate Rice’s ability to return to the NFL even if he is reinstated.
There are quite a few that don’t expect him to make a return to the NFL anytime soon, and there are quite a few that believe he’ll be back before too long. His talent is undeniable, and there are plenty of teams that need some help at the running back position.
Whether he’s reinstated this season or not, you can expect to see Rice back on an NFL field at some point in the future.
