3. Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta was expected to bounce back after an extremely poor season last year due to injuries, but that hasn’t been the case. They are sitting at 3-6 so far this year and aren’t looking too good to come back from that record. That being said, they are lucky enough to play in the NFC South, which has been the worst division in the league by far.

There is no question that they have the talent to be a playoff team, but they simply haven’t lived up to their potential. With an offense that consists of Matt Ryan, Steven Jackson, Julio Jones, Roddy White, and the rest of the supporting cast, they should have a better record simply from scoring more points than other teams. Their defense does have some holes, but they should be playing much better than they have been.

That being said, there are major concerns heading into the last seven weeks of the NFL season surrounding the Falcons. They have plenty of talent to turn things around, but actually doing so will be a bigger challenge. Head coach Mike Smith is coaching for his job, and he will do everything in his power to turn his teams season around.
