Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock, you’re probably aware that LeBron James and Jay Z are pretty good friends.
When James entered the NBA he had a mildly unhealthy obsession with ‘Hov’ as he’d routinely flash the infamous ‘Rock’ sign and stated he always listened to Jay Z’s music before games to pump himself up. Eventually the two became closer and now appear to be the best of buddies.
That’s probably part of the reason as to why Jay Z and wife Beyonce decided to watch the Brooklyn Nets host LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday evening.
King James made sure Jay and Bey enjoyed their evening too, including a moment when the Cleveland Cavaliers star left the “Hard Knock Life” rapper in disbelief after an insane fadeaway shot.
With James’ pivot foot all but locked up, the former MVP had little wiggle room to move so he either needed to pass the ball or attempt a tough shot. The decision apparently wasn’t difficult though as LeBron started doing what he could to shake his defender and after multiple jab steps ended up taking an extremely difficult fading 19-footer.
There was no way it was going in, right? Wrong as James knocked down the basket, hardly even tickling the twine which prompted the following look from the Jigga man.
It’s not as if Jay hasn’t seen LeBron James hit absurd shots before, but it’s sort of like seeing a double rainbow. Sure, you might have seen them before, but tell me you don’t start screaming and jumping around if you spot another.
No? Just me? Well, maybe you just don’t appreciate the rainbow enough.
