You may recall that newly acquired Detroit Tigers outfielder Yoenis Cespedes decided to purchase a tricked-out Lamborghini Aventador after he was acquired by the Boston Red Sox last season.
Without any modifications the ride is nothing short of spectacular, but in typical athlete fashion, a “stock” car is nothing to be proud of.
That’s when Cespedes decided to throw in an additional $300,000 dollars to the pre-modified price of $367,500 to have a $600,000 car.
So what does that buy you? Pretty much everything you could possibly imagine, including a ride that Batman would be envious of which shoots fire.
Why exactly you’d feel the need to shot fire out of your car is beyond me, but if I had $600,000 dollars burning a hole in my pocket for a car modification, I’d probably ask that it shoot fire too. I’d also ask that it fly, float, serve me breakfast, shower me and have a built in toilet. But then again I don’t have $600,000 bucks at my disposal nor do I have a car that shoots fire.
Had I only known deciding to give up little league baseball for that 11-year old cleat chasing scallywag in fifth grade would turn around to haunt me so much.
In all seriousness, if you happen to be in the Detroit area and see some dude flying through downtown while shooting fire out of his car’s ass, it’s just Yoenis Cespedes.
