The Arizona Cardinals are currently sitting at 11-3 and are the first seed in the NFC, but have run into some health troubles. Starting quarterback Carson Palmer went down with a torn ACL just a few weeks ago, and now Drew Stanton has been diagnosed with ACL and MCL sprains. There have been no reports as to how long Stanton will be out, but the scare should force the Cardinals to look at other quarterback options.
One name that has been brought up in so many rumors over the past few seasons, is current NFL free agent Tim Tebow. Tebow is currently a college football analyst for ESPN, but has made it clear that he would still love to play in the NFL if the opportunity presented itself.
Arizona is the perfect opportunity, and they would be smart to give this possibility some thought. Some are not going to agree with this stance and others will simply hate it, but the fact of the matter is that Tebow won football games as a starting quarterback and there are plenty of worse options out there. The Cardinals cannot contend for a Super Bowl appearance in a strong NFC with either Logan Thomas or Ryan Lindley as their starter.
