Fantasy Basketball: FanDuel Lineups For December 12th

We go from a very light night in the NBA to one where most of the league is in action. There are 12 games tonight, so there are plenty of players to fill your team with tonight.

More from FanDuel

Here are my FanDuel lineups for December 12th:

Point Guards:

Bargains:

Zach LaVine, Timberwolves ($4,900): Mo Williams is out yet again, which means LaVine will get an extended run again. He has averaged 28 fantasy points per game in his four starts with Williams out. You may need to temper your expectations a bit if Tony Parker returns as expected.

Norris Cole, Heat ($4,400): Cole  has put up over 20 fantasy points in his last two games. He is still the starter, but some of his extended run on Wednesday was because Mario Chalmers was in foul trouble. Chalmers will still cut into his minutes some, but Cole is playing well enough right now to still play at least 25 minutes a game.

Worth The Cost:

John Wall, Wizards ($9,900): Wall is averaging 48.2 fantasy points over his last six games. He is on fire right now, and can be trusted across the board. His numbers may be slightly down against Chris Paul tonight though.

Russell Westbrook, Thunder ($9.900): Westbrook is back to his normal production. He is averaging 43 fantasy points per game since his return from injury, and it is even better than that over the last three games.

Risky Play:

Deron Williams, Nets ($7,600): D-Will has not topped 32 fantasy points in six consecutive games now. He is simply not worth the risk, especially with all of the options out there tonight.

My Lineups:

A: Westbrook and Damian Lillard ($18,300): Lillard has been up and down lately, but I trust him more than Rondo, and his points are still above Kyrie Irving lately.

B: LaVine and Jrue Holliday ($12,500): Holliday had a big game on Wednesday against Dallas. Point guards have actually fared pretty well against Cleveland, so maybe he can build on it.

Shooting Guards:

Bargains:

Danny Green, Spurs ($5,300): Green has averaged 27 fantasy points over his last five games. On top of that, tonight he gets to feast on the smorgasboard that is the Lakers defense.

Rodney Stuckey, Pacers ($5,400): Stuckey continues to start at the point for Indiana, and continues to produce. He has averaged just a hair over 25 fantasy points per game over his last four outings. That is good bang for your buck.

Worth The Cost:

Jimmy Butler, Bulls ($8,000): Butler is averaging 35.5 fantasy points per game since his (and the whole team’s) disastrous outing against Portland on November 21st. The caveat? Butler and the Bulls are facing Portland again tonight. The difference is that they are in Chicago, and they have a healthy Derrick Rose, Pau Gasol, and Taj Gibson.

Victor Oladipo, Magic ($6,500): Oladipo has been over 28 fantasy points in four of his last five games. He seems to be back on track after a slow start to his season.

Risky Play:

Eric Bledsoe, Suns ($8,200): Bledsoe followed up his monster 67 point game against the Clippers on Monday with a 17 point clunker on Tuesday. There are also reports that Isaiah Thomas will play tonight. Proceed with caution.

My Lineups:

A: Oladipo and Green ($11,800)

B: Oladipo and Stuckey ($11,900)

Nov 26, 2014; Atlanta, GA, USA; Atlanta Hawks forward DeMarre Carroll (5) reacts to a technical foul against the Toronto Raptors during the first half at Philips Arena. Mandatory Credit: Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Small Forwards:

Bargains:

DeMarre Carroll, Hawks ($5,500): Carroll has averaged 30 fantasy points per game over his last four games. He has been making the most of his 25-32 minutes per game. I don’t see any reason for that trend not to continue.

Andrew Wiggins, Timberwolves ($5,800): The brass in Minnesota has turned Wiggy loose over the last two games, and he has responded in a big way. He has had 72.2 fantasy points in that span against two very good teams in Portland and Golden State. This might be the beginning of something big for Wiggins.

Worth The Cost:

Gordon Hayward, Jazz ($7,600): Hayward hasn’t had a real clunker since November 21st. Since then, he has had two games in the 20’s, three in the 30’s, and two in the 40’s. You have a pretty good chance of getting a good game out of Hayward against the Heat.

Risky Plays:

Kevin Durant, Thunder ($9,800): Durant has done well in his 30 minutes per night. That is the only issue with him. That 30 minutes per game cap. He has not gone over 44 fantasy points since his return. That is not great production for 1/6th of your salary.

LeBron James, Cavaliers ($10,600): James is still listed as questionable. Even if he does manage to play, I’m not going to take the risk. LeBron on a bum knee is probably still worth 35-40 points, but I wouldn’t bet on it. That is essentially what you are doing if you take him tonight.

My Lineups:

A: Carroll and C.J. Miles ($9,700): Miles has been on fire lately, and will continue to see heavy minutes in Indiana’s rotation as long as he is.

B: Carroll and Jeff Green ($12,200): This is a gut call, really. Green has had some good games and some bad games this year. I am expecting one of the former against the Knicks tonight.

Nov 5, 2014; Milwaukee, WI, USA; Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson (22) shoots against Milwaukee Bucks center Zaza Pachulia (27) during the first quarter at BMO Harris Bradley Center. Mandatory Credit: Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Power Forwards:

Bargains:

Taj Gibson, Bulls ($6,000): It is looking like Joakim Noah might be out again tonight. If he is, look for Gibson to pick up the slack the same way he did on Wednesday.

Kris Humphries, Wizards ($4,900): Humphries is still seeing a lot of minutes in the Wizards’ frontcourt, and is producing good stats when he does. He is averaging 28 fantasy points over his last five games. That is great production for the price.

Worth The Cost:

Blake Griffin, Clippers ($9,900): Griffin continues to turn in 40 fantasy point performances. He now has four straight. There is a great chance that he can make it five against the Wizards tonight.

Anthony Davis, Pelicans ($11,200): He was dominant with a 50 fantasy point performance on Wednesday against Dallas. He could do the same against a potentially LeBron-less Cavs team tonight.

Risky Play:

LaMarcus Aldridge, Trailblazers ($9,700): LMA had his worst game of the season against the lowly Timberwolves on Wednesday. Considering the year he has had, I think this is likely just a hiccup, but the fact that it was against Minnesota is a little disconcerting.

My Lineups:

A: Gibson and Jared Sullinger ($12,600): Sully has had a couple of off nights lately, but I think he gets back on track against the Knicks.

B: Gibson and Griffin ($15,900)

Dec 1, 2014; Salt Lake City, UT, USA; Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried (35) defends against Utah Jazz center Enes Kanter (0) during the second half at EnergySolutions Arena. The Nuggets won 103-101. Mandatory Credit: Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Center:

Bargain:

Enes Kanter, Jazz ($5,800): Kanter is averaging 30 fantasy points per game over his last five games. We have seen him put a few solid games together before, only to fall flat. Will this time be different?

Worth The Cost:

DeAndre Jordan, Clippers ($7,400): Honestly, he might be the best bargain of the night. Jordan is averaging 38 fantasy points per game over his last five games. He has been almost as dominant as frontcourt mate Blake Griffin lately.

Risky Play:

Chris Bosh, Heat ($8,500): Bosh had a 50 point game on Monday, but that is the only game out of the last four in which he has topped 30 fantasy points. He is hard to rely on right now.

My Lineups:

A and B: Jordan ($7,400)
