NFL Exec Recorded Promising Adrian Peterson 2 Game Suspension
By Cory Buck
A phone call recording was released to ABC News which caught NFL Exec Troy Vincent promising running back Adrian Peterson he’d only serve a 2 game suspension.
The NFLPA is expected to file a lawsuit against the NFL on behalf of suspended Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson after an audio tape was released of Peterson being assured by NFL executive Troy Vincent that AD would only serve a two game suspension in 2014 for his child abuse misdemeanor charges. You can find that report below.

The money clip comes early in the video.
“So two games?” Peterson asks Vincent.
“Yeah,” Vincent says. “That is…you’ve got to act, just go through the process.”
This recording supports Peterson’s earlier claim, which had been refuted by Vincent, that he’d been promised consideration for ‘time served‘. Peterson was suspended indefinitely by the NFL six days after the recorded conversation, and per the ruling, he can’t appeal that suspension until April 2015.
It’s believed that the suspension turned much tougher on Peterson after he failed to attend a meeting with the league that he and his lawyers perceived as ‘not being required’.
This recording is mainly important because it verifies that, once again, the NFL misled one of its employees as it apparently just makes up the rules as it proceeds through one court case after another.
Peterson, having already appealed this suspension, will now be in a position to sue the league via the NFLPA.
