Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) over Kansas City Chiefs

This is a traditional spot where the two teams are seen as even, with Pittsburgh taking a 3-point advantage based on homefield. Normally, these are “stay away” spots for me, but not here.

The difference here is that I genuinely believe that the Steelers are the better team. Pittsburgh went into Atlanta and emerged with an impressive road win a week ago, and while Kansas City did break a three-game losing skid with a dominant win over Oakland, that doesn’t tell you a lot about where the Chiefs are right now.

Alex Smith, playing in the cold on the road, definitely does not put the fear of God in me, and with the Steelers capable of making Kansas City one-dimensional, that is a plus. This could be a slugfest, but give me the Steelers in the friendly confines of Heinz Field.
