Jacksonville Jaguars (+9.5) over Houston Texans

If you have been following this space all season, you will know that the Jacksonville Jaguars have been prominently featured. That continues in Week 17, and it feels so good.

Jacksonville is catching nearly double-digits in a road game against the Houston Texans, but much like the rest of the season, that feels like too much cushion for Gus Bradley and his team. Houston is currently deploying their third-string quarterback in Case Keenum, and that alone should be a red flag for the public, who seems to be siding with the Texans.

The Jaguars are trying to win games, for better or worse, and I can’t see that effort level dipping here in a match-up against a familiar, division opponent. Jacksonville isn’t very good, but if you’re going to offer me the chance to take 9.5 points against Case Keenum, I’ll take it, even if that means fading J.J. Watt for 60 minutes.
