St. Louis Rams (+12.5) over Seattle Seahawks

Sometimes, a line is just too high.

No one would dispute that Seattle is a lot better than St. Louis, and I wouldn’t try, but should the Seahawks really be laying nearly two touchdowns against a reasonably solid opponent? I would say no. Conventional wisdom would indicate that Seattle “needs a win” here, leading the public to hop all over them, but simply desiring a win for playoff positioning should increase this line by a handful of points, and it appears to have done just that.

St. Louis is an adventure with Shaun Hill at quarterback, but the defense is capable of keeping them afloat on the road, and I take solace in that. It may not be pretty, but the Rams shouldn’t be getting 12.5 points against anyone.
