Belk Bowl at Charlotte, NC:

(21)Louisville:

Losses: at Virginia(21-23), at Clemson(17-23), vs. Florida State(31-42)
Record vs. Bowl Teams: 4-2
Common Opponents:
Clemson: Georgia won by 24 points in Athens in the season opener. Louisville lost at Clemson by six. Advantage: GEORGIA
Kentucky: Georgia won by 32 points in Lexington. Louisville only won by four at home. Advantage: GEORGIA
Prediction:
Georgia’s offense survived a lot of injuries again this year, but in the bowl game, they are really going to miss Todd Gurley. Louisville has a stout defensive front, and the Bulldogs need to run the ball well. True freshmen Nick Chubb and Sony Michel were both outstanding in Gurley’s absence.
The Georgia defense has given up some points this year, and Louisville has the potential to score some. Will Gardner is fully healthy, and Auburn transfer Michael Dyer did a good job down the stretch. Senior WR DeVante Parker had 745 receiving yards in just five games. He could be the wild card in this game.
On paper, this looks like a blowout in Georgia’s favor. If you look a little deeper though, you will see that teams with good defensive lines have given Georgia problems. So have teams that run the ball well. I’m not saying that Louisville will win this, but I seriously doubt they lose by more than one score. That half seals it for me.
Pick: Louisville
