I am back to give you all of the bowl picks against the spread. This year, I am going to do each bowl individually so you have all of the information you need to make your wager or pick, whatever the case may be.

Just in case you missed anything:

Quick Lane Bowl at Detroit, MI:

Rutgers:

Wins: at Washington State(41-38), vs. Howard(38-25), at Navy(31-24), vs. Tulane(31-6), vs. Michigan(26-24), vs. Indiana(45-23), at Maryland(41-38)

Losses: vs. Penn State(10-13), at Ohio State(17-56), at Nebraska(24-42), vs. Wisconsin(0-37), at Michigan State(3-45)

Record vs. Bowl Teams: 2-5

North Carolina(-3.5):

Wins: vs. Liberty(56-29), vs. San Diego State(31-27), vs. Georgia Tech(48-43), at Virginia(28-27), vs. Pittsburgh(40-35), at Duke(45-20)

Losses: at East Carolina(41-70), at Clemson(35-50), vs. Virginia Tech(17-34), at Notre Dame(43-50), at Miami(FL)(20-47), vs. North Carolina State(7-35)

Record vs. Bowl Teams: 4-5

Common Opponents:

NONE

Prediction:

Rutgers is not the team that they were before RB Paul James was lost for the season in the Navy game. Desmon Peoples is a decent back, but he doesn’t have the game changing ability that James had. The story of this team is Gary Nova and Leonte Caroo. If you can disrupt the timing between the two of them, Rutgers is sunk offensively.

North Carolina QB Marquise Williams accounted for 32 touchdowns this year, and led the team in rushing. He is the heart and soul of the offense. The problem for the Tarheels has been on defense. They gave up 70 to the passing attack of East Carolina, and gave up more than 40 three more times.

Ultimately, I don’t see the Rutgers offense being able to generate enough offense to win. I know that UNC’s defense is not great, but neither is Rutgers. They will have no answer for Williams and the Tarheels.

Pick: North Carolina
