There are two games early this afternoon, but these lineups will deal with the picks from the five evening games since they don’t have a tournament that pertains to the whole day.

Here are my FanDuel Lineups For December 31st:

Point Guards:

Bargains:

Cory Joseph, Spurs ($5,400): Tony Parker is still without a timetable for a return. This should mean that Joseph will get another run. He scored 28.4 fantasy points last night, and is getting more and more comfortable in his role. He is a good cheap option tonight.

Patrick Beverley, Rockets ($5,800): Beverley has had a couple of off games lately, but there really isn’t anyone pushing him for minutes. You can chalk that up to him being under the weather. Isaiah Canaan is a suitable backup, but remains just that. After a couple of days to recuperate, Beverley should be 100 percent tonight.

Worth The Cost:

Russell Westbrook, Thunder ($11,700): The only game Westbrook had under 40 fantasy points was a blowout win against the Hornets is which he played only 26 minutes. He still got you 38 fantasy points. He is the best option right now. Period.

Kemba Walker, Hornets ($8,600): After a disaster against the Hornets, Walker seems to have righted the ship. He has 98.3 fantasy points over the last two games.

Risky Play:

Chris Paul, Clippers ($10,100): Paul has seven games in the 40’s and three games in the 20’s over his last ten. Using him is a gamble, but I love his matchup against the Knicks tonight.

My Lineups:

A: Paul and Joseph ($15,500)

B: Westbrook and Walker ($20,300)

Next: Is Harden Worth It?

Shooting Guards:

Bargains:

Tim Hardaway Jr, Knicks ($5,500): Hardaway has been over 20 fantasy points in nine of his last ten games. He remains one of the better cheap options out there.

Jamal Crawford, Clippers ($5,500): Crawford has been over 20 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. He is still mostly scoring dependent, but he has scored 17 or more points in every game in that span. that makes him a pretty low risk option for you value conscious FanDuelers.

Worth The Cost:

James Harden, Rockets ($11,300): Harden has been over 45 fantasy points in eight of his last ten games. He is still a marquee option, but in his two off games, he got just 32.9 points. If you get that from his price, you are going to be disappointed.

Eric Bledsoe, Suns ($8,200): Bledsoe has been dominant lately, going for over 40 fantasy points in four of his last six. In the two that he wasn’t over that mark, he still ended up in the 30’s. Even that is acceptable at his price.

Risky Play:

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks ($6,500): Giannis has been over 20 fantasy points in seven of his last ten games, but in two of the games that he was off, he was below 15 fantasy points. His minutes seem to be consistent, but it is hard to take anyone because of Kidd’s rotations from night to night. I do like his matchup against Cleveland though, especially if King James is out again tonight.

My Lineups:

A: Harden and Bledsoe ($19,500)

B: Bledsoe and Antetokounmpo ($14,700)

Next: Go Cheap At SF Since All The Big Names Are Questionable

Small Forwards:

Bargains:

Jared Dudley, Bucks ($5,300): Dudley has been over 20 fantasy points in five of his last six games, and seems firmly entrenched as the starting SF with Jabari Parker out. He has been over 30 in three of those games as well.

Gerald Henderson, Hornets ($4,600): Henderson had a big game against the Bucks on Monday. With Lance Stephenson still out, he is getting starts at SG. He doesn’t always make the most of his minutes, but even if he only gets you 20 fantasy points, he is still a bargain.

Worth The Cost:

Carmelo Anthony, Knicks ($9,600): Melo’s knee is bugging him, and it limited him to just 19 minutes against Portland on Sunday. With two full days of rest, he should be good to go tonight against the Clippers. He has been over 38 fantasy points in every games since his return except for Sunday’s game.

Kevin Durant, Thunder ($10,100): KD will return tonight against Phoenix’s somewhat weak defense, giving him the potential to put up his biggest game of the season.

Risky Play:

Corey Brewer, Rockets ($5,500): Despite coming off the bench for the Rockets, Brewer has still averaged 23 fantasy points per game in his three games there. There is always a risk since he is a bench guy, but it is one that is paying off right now.

My Lineups:

A and B: Dudley and Henderson ($9,900)

Next: Will It Pay Off To Go Cheap At PF?

Power Forwards:

Bargains:

Tristan Thompson, Cavaliers ($5,600): Thompson is finally taking advantage of life without Anderson Varejao. He is averaging 30.3 fantasy points over his last three games, making him a superb bargain.

Marvin Williams, Hornets ($4,400): Get in on the ground floor of this stock. Al Jefferson will be out at least three weeks, and Williams is a prime candidate to see more minutes. He has so far, and he has done very well with them. He had 34.3 fantasy points in his first start on Monday. Even if he doesn’t get you any more than that, you are still way ahead of the curve.

Worth The Cost:

Anthony Davis, Pelicans ($11,500): AD is putting some consistency with his dominance once again. the Spurs have been susceptible to allowing big games to opposing big men lately, so Davis could be in for another 45-50 fantasy point night.

Blake Griffin, Clippers ($10,400): Griffin has not been under 38 points since December 13th, and he gets the Knicks tonight. The potential is there for him to outscore Davis so long as this doesn’t turn into a blowout.

Risky Play:

Josh Smith, Rockets ($7,000): His first start in Houston was a complete disaster. He was playing better off of the bench, and Donatas Motiejunas is still going to steal some minutes. He needs to adjust to how Houston is going to use him before he becomes a reliable daily league option again.

My Lineups:

A and B: Thompson and Williams ($10,000)

Next: Cheap Is Still The Way To Go At C

Dec 27, 2014; Sacramento, CA, USA; New York Knicks center Cole Aldrich (45) prepares to shoot the ball against the Sacramento Kings in the second quarter at Sleep Train Arena. Mandatory Credit: Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Center:

Bargains:

Cole Aldrich, Knicks ($5,000): The Knicks’ frontcourt roulette wheel finally landed on Cole Aldrich, and it might stay there. Aldrich has 79.7 fantasy points over his last two games. The Knicks desperately need someone – anyone – to help carry the load. As long as Aldrich is producing, he should stick in the lineup.

Steven Adams, Thunder ($5,100): Adams extended his streak of 20+ point fantasy games to six, and eight of his last ten. He is becoming a reliable option for 20 points. Anything reliable at 5k is worth playing.

Worth The Cost:

DeAndre Jordan, Clippers ($8,100): Jordan has hit 30 or more fantasy points in 10 of his last 11 games. Oh, and did I mention that the Clippers play the Knicks tonight?

Risky Plays:

Dwight Howard, Rockets ($9,300): Howard was a complete dud against the Wizards on Monday. That was the second time in three games that he has been under 20 fantasy points. That will destroy your chances of finishing in the money.

Alex Len, Suns ($4,900): Len had his worst game as a starter last night against the Hornets. The Suns are taking on another talented frontcourt in Oklahoma City tonight, so Len is a risk again.

My Lineups:

A: Adams ($5,100)

B: Aldrich ($5,000)
