The fourth of the New Year’s Six bowl games will take place on Thursday with the Cotton Bowl, which this year is being contested between the Michigan State Spartans and the Baylor Bears.
Michigan State wasn’t able to replicate the success they had in 2013, where they won the Big Ten title and eventually the Rose Bowl, but it was still a pretty solid season for Sparty. With the news that quarterback Connor Cook will be returning next season, a win over the Big 12 co-champs would be a huge springboard into next season.
However, this Baylor team is coming in with a huge chip on their shoulder, given the fact that they feel they were snubbed from the College Football Playoff. This high-powered offense will be out to prove a point in Thursday against one of the best defenses in the nation.
