If you got up to get another beverage or snack at halftime of the Rose Bowl between Florida State and Oregon you missed the tribute to Beyonce from the Seminoles band.

When you tuned in to watch the Rose Bowl you likely did to so because you’re a fan of college football and wanted to see how the last two Heisman winners, Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota would fare in The Granddaddy of em All” much like the rest of the nation.
If you were like me the last thing you expected to see was a halftime tribute to Beyonce when the Florida State band came on the field for their halftime performance.

Florida State was the headliner after the Oregon band did their thing first. The Seminoles opened with their rendition of Survivor from Beyonce’s former group Destiny’s Child, and can you think of a more fitting song for the Seminoles season? Florida State overcame a fourth-quarter deficit seemingly every other week but survived to win the ACC and make the College Football Playoff.
Unfortunately for the Florida State faithful it was practically all downhill from here as the Ducks broke the game open in the third quarter after two fumbles from Dalvin Cook and a fumble from Jameis Winston on a fourth down try that was returned for a touchdown as they outscored the defending champions 27-7 in the decisive quarter.
