Is Kemba Walker one of our fantasy All-Stars?

Yesterday I released my list of Western Conference Fantasy Basketball All-Stars and today I am doing the same for the Eastern Conference. You will find this list to be similar to the real list of NBA All-Stars except for I don’t include a player like Kobe Bryant just because he is popular. I have derived this list to be the top group of players I would want to own on my fantasy basketball teams and that is how I decide when I have two guys for one spot.

This is definitely a fun list to compile and your list may be different. You may find that you want a guy who does better in cats or roto leagues. You may find that you just prefer a different player than mine and that is okay. That is what makes fantasy leagues fun to play in. That is how trades are made and how fantasy leagues stay so popular. Personally, for me I prefer fantasy basketball over any other sport, because I find that there seems to be less variables that affect how a player will perform. Once you have a basic understanding of the NBA I believe that you can do quite well in fantasy basketball with just a little bit of work. Anyway, let us know who your fantasy basketball All-Stars are in the comments below!

For now let us take a look at our starting and reserve fantasy guards!

Eastern Conference Fantasy All-Star Starting Guards

Washington Wizards. John Wall. PG. player. 142. John Wall has really taken off this year and asserted himself as one, if not the top point guard in the Eastern Conference. As a Bulls fan that is hard for me to admit, but admit it I must. I do believe that Derrick Rose is gaining ground and very well may take that spot over this season, but for now Wall is simply playing at a higher level.. Point Guard

Point Guard. Toronto Raptors. Kyle Lowry. SG. player. 81. While Kyle Lowry has been playing great and is probably in the conversation of best point guard in the east, I just don’t think he has the same talent as Wall and Rose. I do think he has easily played well enough to slide him over and make sure he is a starter on this fantasy team though.

Eastern Conference Fantasy All-Star Reserve Guards

One of the most talented pure players in the NBA, Kyrie Irving easily makes this team as one of our top reserves. As LeBron, Kevin Love and Irving learn how to play with each other, we have watched all 3 of them increase their fantasy values. This is going to be a trio to keep your eyes on.. Point Guard. Cleveland Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving. PG. player. 156

Atlanta Hawks. Jeff Teague. PG. player. 125. Jeff Teague is one of the most under-rated players in all of basketball. He is one of the biggest reasons as to why the Hawks are playing so great right now. He is finally getting some respect, but I still don’t quite think he gets the respect that he is due.. Point Guard

Shooting Guard. Chicago Bulls. Jimmy Butler. SG. player. 24. Jimmy Butler started this season out on absolute fire. He has still kept it going quite brightly, but he has began to cool a bit as Derrick Rose rounds into shape and gets more healthy from all the time he missed the last two seasons. I still like Butler as one of the better SGs in the Easter Conference, but I would continue to expect a minor decline in production as long as Rose stays healthy.

24. So I may have mainly included Derrick Rose here because of my bias, but when I narrowed down my list I would prefer to own Rose for the rest of the season as opposed to any of my honorable mention guys.. Point Guard. Chicago Bulls. Derrick Rose. PG. player

Point Guard. Charlotte Hornets. Kemba Walker. PG. player. 170. Even with Kemba Walker injured, I had to include him on this list. He has been one of the better guards in all of basketball and hopefully he will make a full recovery and come back in time to help fantasy teams in the playoffs.

Honorable Mention: Michael Carter-Williams, Dwayne Wade, Brandon Knight

Eastern Conference Fantasy All-Star Starting Forwards

24. When Pau Gasol signed with the Bulls this off-season my only thought and prayer was that he would not wind up like Carlos Boozer. That prayer has already been answered. Gasol has turned the bulls into what seems like will be a title contender and one of the better teams in the league. I believe once they iron out the rough patches and the friction with the front office and Coach Thibodeau then it will hopefully be smooth sailing for the Bulls.. Power Forward. Chicago Bulls. Pau Gasol. PF. player

LeBron James. SF. player. 156. Come on! Would you expect anyone else here? Is there really anyone else to make the starting SF on this team? Yes, I didn’t think so either.. Small Forward. Cleveland Cavaliers

Eastern Conference Fantasy All-Star Reserve Forwards

player. 125. Along with Teague and Horford getting healthy, Milsap has been a major reason that the Hawks are currently the best team in the East. Milsap has been incredible as a Hawk and it now looks like the Hawks main three are in sync and should remain top fantasy options for the rest of the year.. Power Forward. Atlanta Hawks. Paul Milsap. PF

Small Forward. New York Knicks. Carmelo Anthony. SF. player. 27. I will use this as another opportunity to tell you to sell Melo before the official news of him shutting his season down prematurely becomes official. Where there is smoke, there is fire and with the Knicks as bad as they are and Anthony hurting it is time for him to shut it down and hope for a better year next year.

Cleveland Cavaliers. Kevin Love. PF. player. 156. Even though he has taken a bit of a decline from last year, Love is still one of the league’s better PFs. He also is on a team with The King who sub-tweets him inspirational messages!. Power Forward

64. Greg Monroe has to be the happiest person in all of Detroit since they waived Josh Smith. He has become an absolute monster and has had the kind of season we all expected he would. I hope for the Pistons sake, they are able to secure him to a long-term deal, because he is one heck of a player.. Power Forward. Detroit Pistons. Greg Monroe. PF. player

Jared Sullinger. PF. player. 18. Some of you may be saying where is Chris Bosh? It did come down to Bosh and Sullinger here, but I would much rather have Sullinger on my team than Bosh and that is just the bottom line for me!. Power Forward. Boston Celtics

Honorable Mention: Chris Bosh, Tobias Harris, DeMar DeRozan

Eastern Conference Fantasy All-Star Starting Center

38. Vucevic has been a very good center for the Orlando Magic. He is one of the nicer core players that the Magic have to build around for the future. He is one of the better centers in the league and one of the lesser known jewels in the NBA unless you are a Magic fan or a fantasy nerd like me.. Center. Orlando Magic. Nikola Vucevic. C. player

Eastern Conference Fantasy All-Star Reserve Centers

C. player. 64. Drummod may have joined Greg Monroe in his happy dance when Josh Smith was given his walking papers. Drummond is one of the most raw, most talented young players in the NBA.. Center. Detroit Pistons. Andre Drummond

Center. Atlanta Hawks. Al Horford. C. player. 125. Al Horford is another super talented player who was coming along a little slowly this year. He was recovering from having tore his pectoral muscle last season. He is now playing at a very capable level and could have easily been our starting center on this team.

Honorable Mention: Al Jefferson, Hassan Whiteside, Joakim Noah
