A look at how many bids each college basketball conference received for the 2015 NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday

Well, Selection Sunday has come and gone, and we now know the entire field for the 2015 NCAA Tournament. 68 of what the committee sees as the best college basketball programs this year will do battle on the court beginning this week to find out who the new national champion will be.

Now as we know with college sports, conference pride means a lot to some teams and fans, much like in college football. One conference seeming superior to others on the hardwood is something that has been in college basketball for years.

With that said, just which conferences got the most bids this year for the NCAA Tournament? Well, here is a complete breakdown of the field.

Throughout the years recently the Big Ten has really been flexing their muscles as one of the most dominant basketball conferences in the nation, and as you can see, this year is no different. One of those seven teams were given a No. 1 seed, with Wisconsin owning the West Region headed in.

It’s also not a huge surprise that the Big 12 is right along there with them at the top. Once again this year we were shown just how prominent the parity is in the Big 12, especially with Kansas winning the regular season title while Iowa State captured the tournament crown.
