VCU Rams player Jonathan Williams picked his teammates notes on live TV during the VCU-Richmond game Friday.

The VCU Rams won their first Atlantic 10 tournament championship Sunday when they defeated the Dayton Flyers 71-65. But flashback to Friday when they won their quarterfinal game against Richmond, when national television cameras caught one VCU player picking his teammate’s nose.

It’s freshman guard Jonathan Williams who looks like he offered to pick his teammate’s nose, it looks to be freshman guard Terry Larrier, but we can’t tell for sure. All we really know is that it’s not wonder VCU won the A-10 tournament after showing NCAA-best teamwork.

Fifth-seeded VCU went on to beat fourth-seeded Richmond in the game 70-67 bring them to the semifinals against top-seeded Davidson. VCU went on to take care of them handedly 93-73, bringing them to the championship game against 2-seed Dayton on Sunday. VCU went on to beat Dayton 71-65 in order to secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where they sat on the bubble with their 26-9 record.

VCU has been in the NCAA Tournament in the last five years straight now. They made it to the Final Four in 2011 as an 11-seed before falling to Butler in the national semi-final. The last two seasons, the Rams have been a five seed in the NCAA Tournament, but fell in the third round to Michigan in 2013 and in the second round to Stephen F. Austin in 2014. We’ll see if the Rams can make some noise this year as they go into the big dance with some major momentum.
